IBS BankirThe IBS Bankir system provides automation of document workflow of any bank - from a set of several working places up to a diversified multidivisional bank, which utilizes a single integrated data base. Functionality of the system allows servicing of clients and bookkeeping for all major banking products and services, in particular:
front-office operations: maintenance of accounts, cash turnover, credit-depositary activity, deposits, trading transactions, dealing, currency market operations in both on-line and off-line modes; middle-office operations: configuring retail banking products and their distribution through existing delivery channels, personification of sales; back-office operations: documentary and bookkeeping operations for all banking products: registration of documents and automatic generation of internal transactions in implementation of banking operations, automatic generation of documents during registration of deals and associated documents for multioperational banking products, maintenance of correspondent accounts, including those in settlements with affiliates; formation of exchange sessions with payment processing centre or banks -direct correspondents; automated processing of incoming inter banking documents from payment processing centre, processing of incoming documents in receiving SWIFT messages, received from the Client-Bank system; formation of operative records, including those from the bank's affiliates, which operate through a single bank correspondent accounts, archive maintenance, formation of financial reporting for a previous period. bank's internal activity: payroll accounting, personnel accounting and HR activity, asset accounting, storage operations, accounting of expendables and consumables, economic contract accounting, keeping of a purchase ledger and a sales ledger.
The system has an extended spectrum of functions of direct servicing and fully automates banking operations in affiliates and the head office. Control over the bank activity is achieved through a centralized processing on the basis of an integrated information data base and management of information flows. Simultaneously operating cost per a banking transaction is reduced. Data integration makes it possible to get actual information about actual status of analytical and synthetic accounting, about any previous period and expected results for future periods at the request of top management and end users. The form of presentation of input information is determined by the user with the help of the language of adjustable report forms and inquiries. Extended analytics permits to get real picture of the status of accounting in the bank from different angles - by structural units, bank products and services, types of clients, sectors of economy, etc. Dynamics of changes is simple to obtain using well developed archives. Flexible and powerful mechanism of creation of interconnected documents and bank internal transactions of complex geometry minimizes the time of creation and offer of new bank products, thus increasing competitiveness of the bank.
Key differences of the system
Client-oriented system - all accounts and bank products are related to a unique client identifier. It allows the bank to operate not "proceeding from an account", but "proceeding from a client".
Service-oriented system - all activity of bank employees in servicing the client are limited to 'formalization of client client's orders", optimized as to the volume of information for input (configuring input lines) and are protected from errors to the maximum (maintenance of reference books of allowed values, powers, verification). For servicing a client it is not necessary to know the structure of internal transactions and accounts of transactions, the system can process all transactions in an automatic mode.
Univocal correspondence of documentary accounting and bookkeeping - a ¾ payment document is one of the major accounting units in the system and because of its payment a necessary number of internal transactions are generated. In its turn a payment documents can be a source of an assembly of interconnected documents. Deals and agreements in the process of their processing in the system form payment documents. This capability permits to organize a flexible document workflow with a possibility to differentiate access tights to different documents and phases of their flow in the system.
Adjustability - mechanism of extended algorithms allows arranging complex chains of payment documents of any length. Mechanisms of configuring and adjusting of bank products (treasury, credit, deposit, etc.) allow quick broadening of a number of services rendered to clients, flexible reaction to changes in accounting schemes. Mechanism of adjustable templates provides a capacity to create output documents of any type (receive data in any format). These actions do not require continuous control and help on part of the product developers and are available to Bank process engineers.
Product accounting - the system has a capability to work with bank products: from the analysis of attractiveness, to creation, distribution, analysis of profitability, of modifications, of distribution, etc. Products and services are constructed with the help of standard objects of the system (contract, transaction, document, operation). All accounting by products is adjusted at the level of business logic and is maintained automatically, thus minimizing user-introduced errors and reducing time of service.
Analytics in chart of accounts - chart of accounts is an adjustable and parameterized. There exist mechanisms of sub-accounting (additional analytical elements within the balance account) and additional analytic characters, which allow the bank to form its codificators. Within the system there exists a possibility to introduce several independent charts of accounts for additional analytical accounting.
Parameterization - This parameter is used to adapt the system to specific requirements of the bank and changes in the legal system. Parameters are determined in the process of system implementation, but can be changed at the moment of technology change and by bank employee. Parameterization permits the Bank to independently determine specifics of operations with accounts, rates, rule of charging commissions - to independently create new products and services and offer them to its clients. All changes as usual, are introduced by bank product engineers at the level of configuring system internal mechanisms.
Orientation towards operations with multidivisional banks - initial orientation of the system towards operation in banks with extended structure of affiliates and branches. The system provides a capability to keep balances with the use of a single Data base, thus allowing to promptly receiving analytics from all bank affiliates. In case affiliates operate local data bases, there exists a flexible mechanism of consolidation of data received from affiliates in the form of report forms and business objects. The Host-Terminal architecture, on which the system is implemented easily permits to use lower-bit-rate channels, thus allowing organization of access to the system from different Bank sites.
Accessibility and data protection õ - the system allows access to all information covering all transactions made within the system for any period of time. The archive is an active one. Access to any information is protected. Each user sees only "his" block of data, clients, accounts, transactions, etc. Orientation to profits - information in the system is structures in such a way, which simplifies analysis of profitability of all services rendered, products offered, structural units, responsibility centers. Scalability - a system has practical applicability in processing large volume of data within the work with a single data base - more than 2.5 million clients, more than 10 million accounts. Mechanisms of system operation are optimized to process large volumes of information.
